The thrill of the hunt... The promise of payment
What better weapon to show that monstrous size alone has no intrinsic merit, unless inordinate exsanguination be considered a virtue? If you are looking to properly equip a party for delving into the darkest dungeon, you'll want to add this to your collection.
Major Features
Multiple Axe Blade Options
I included two options for the front portion of the axe blade. The first option can be printed as one solid piece but would require supports for the tips of the wings. I know sometimes starting at such fine points off of a support can give varying results, so I included a second option which bisects the head so that the only supports required are internal (unless your bridging is A+ in which case none required. This second option also uses the front rivet as a second alignment feature to allow for accurate glueing of the two pieces together.
Insertable Axe Blade
The axe blade itself comes in a front and back piece. The axe blade needs to be assembled first, then inserted into the axe head before attaching the back most rivet of the axe blade. Attaching this rivet before hand will make inserting the axe impossible.
Standardized Shaft
As with many of my designs, I gave the shaft of this model a 1 inch diameter, that way, instead of printing the included shaft, you can save yourself lots of time by just replacing it with a 1 inch diameter PVC pipe, wooden dowel, etc.
Builds
Unfortunately, I have not yet gotten around to printing this model myself, but if you decide to make yourself a axe that will make you the envy of the entire hamlet, feel free to send me pictures of your builds to stick in here!
