Solid Core Assembly
This sword is designed to fit around a solid metal core to help ensure strength and rigidity. The crossguard, grip, pommel, and blade are all designed to slide over a 3/4" x 48 in pipe which can be found at this link.
If using a different core there is a Sizing Tool included to show what the inner diameter of the sword is so you can scale the sword to whatever pipe you choose.
The fully assembled sword comes out to approx. 5ft.
All pieces have a flat surface with which to align with the build plate for easy printing.Structural pegs should be printed on their side to align layer lines with their long axis.
Multiple Blade Asembly Options:
The blade comes in 4 different options.
- Segmented for smaller printers with alignment pegs
* This can be printed on an Ender 3*
- Segmented for larger printers with alignment pegs
* Will fit printers with 300x300m build plates and build heights of ~400mm
- Blade segmented into two long halves. This can be used with belt printers
- One singular whole blade model for misc purposes, personal slicing
Each of these options come with a "clean" option where the accents are printed seperately and a version where the accent comes attached to the blade segment already.
